Software Engineer - Front End (2010–present): Gilt Groupe; New York, New York; Front end engineer for the hottest startup in Manhattan.

Lead Software Engineer (2008–2010): Condé Nast Publications; New York, New York; Web development as part of the Platform Architecture group at Condé Nast Digital. Involved in planning new features for the magazine publishing platform, consulting during design phases of projects, and working closely with information architects with wireframing and modifications to XML schemas. Architected JavaScript applications for use across all the company's sites and built front end code libraries. Also built JSP/JSTL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript for new site launches and modifications to existing sites. Built a JavaScript slideshow application which is live on nearly 20 Condé Nast sites and leading to double-digit improvements in page views.

Lead Front End Developer (2007-2008): Sayers Media Group; Buffalo, New York; Designed and built the front end code for pbxprompts.com, a site offering voice prompts for VoIP systems. Built ajax application for custom voice prompt creation, editing and uploading. Performed usability studies and integrated findings into design. Managed a team of two designers. Also wrote code for voipsupply.com and ipcamerasupply.com.

Front End Developer (2005-2007): Aurora Consulting Group, Inc; East Aurora, New York; Led fisher-price.com's multi-year transition from tables to CSS-based layout. Development using a custom .NET MVC framework with an event-driven state machine, localized for 20+ languages. Wrote C# view classes and modified existing classes to generate standards-compliant XHTML. Wrote CSS for the company's brand sites, ensuring cross-browser compatibility with advanced layout techniques. Built JavaScript to handle common functionality across many brand sites, including a View Larger ajax implementation. Interface design for Fisher-Price's search application and a desktop music store application. Evangelized web standards to the company, giving seven presentations on CSS, semantic XHTML, usability and accessibility.

Freelance Design Consultant (2003-present): Arkitrave Web Media; Buffalo, New York; Work included sites and collateral for local and out-of-state clients, including a set of templates for Sandvox, a Mac OS X-based web publishing tool.

Web Designer (2002-2005): The Urban Design Project; Buffalo, New York; Created and maintained three completely CSS sites for an urban planning research institute at the University at Buffalo. Print design and layout for publications. Curated a gallery exhibit of the institute's work. Part of the production team for the APA award-winning Queen City Hub plan.
